The Cameo 3 is the latest model from the best-selling Silhouette Cameo product line.

At the first glance, it looks like a big slick printer when put on a desk. But it doesn’t print ink on paper – instead, it draws and cuts over a hundred unique designs!

Silhouette’s AutoBlade Technology.

This is a brand-new Silhouette blade that adjusts automatically depending on the material you choose in Silhouette Studio. You’ll never have to wrangle the blade settings ever again!

Dual Carriages for Simultaneous Sketching and Cutting.

The Cameo 3 features two different holders for pens and blades, which allows it to sketch and cut simultaneously. You don’t have to stop and take out the blade anymore – this functionality is automatically built in!

Deeper, Bolder Cuts

The extra clearance lets you cut material up to 2mm thick, which is twice the Cameo 2’s cutting thickness.

Bluetooth.

For the first time, a Cameo product runs completely wireless via Bluetooth! No more having to deal with tangled and annoying cords!

Cameo 3 is easily the best Silhouette yet! It gives you all the greatest features responsible for seamless use. The AutoBlade is a massive improvement, compatible only with the Silhouette Cameo 3 and the Portrait 2.

The blade setting now adjusts automatically, so you don’t have to wrangle with the blade settings ever again!

After using the Cameo 3, I can’t ever return to manually adjusting the blade cutting settings. I don’t think I could ever go back to having to manually adjust the cutting blades. If you’ve ever messed up the cut by setting the blade incorrectly, you know what how annoying it can be! But you’ll never have to deal with that again with the Cameo 3!

The AutoBlade allows you to select the cut setting and material in the Silhouette Studio software program. The blade will automatically match the calibration.

The Silhouette Cameo 3 cuts materials TWICE as thick as the Cameo 2, which is the biggest Cameo cutting upgrade to date.

The cutting bar also now has a clearance size of 2mm, which is an increase from the Cameo 2’s 0.8 mm. When you combine it with the Deep-Cut Blade, you’ll be able to cut thick material such as craft foam (a material my kids absolutely love).

In terms of software for the cutting machines, Silhouette Studio is easily the best (in my opinion!). Ultimately the preference of the software comes down to what you like and know. Some people like a program due to their previous use of it, and others may prefer another program for ease of use.

The Silhouette Studio program is free for download, so you can try it out and see if it works well for you. Download it and play with it a bit to see if it works well for you!

The Silhouette Cameo 3 is excellent in every category. It’s an incredible value, and the single best Silhouette machine available today.

It retains all of the Cameo 2’s best features, while also including Bluetooth capabilities, thick-cutting ability, and a variety of other massive improvements to quality of life. I can’t ever go back to using Silhouette with the AutoBlade, Bluetooth capability, and the option to use 2 tools simultaneously.

One drawback is the cutting power, which isn’t improved from the previous Cameos. But the benefits more than outweigh this.

If you’re looking to cut long materials, look into the Silhouette Cameo 3. You won’t regret your choice!
